Play Video

Putting on a socially distanced pantomime is completely new for us here at Made To Measure Productions. We understand that there are probably many questions which you have regarding how the show will work, what changes we are implementing to follow government guidelines and what this means for you.

If you have any other questions and for all press enquires, please contact: brandon@madetomeasureproductions.co.uk

How long is the show?

You will be able to gain access to Nothe Fort from 1 hour before the advertised show time to take your seats and get ready for the fun! 30 minutes before the show begins, our potty pirates will lead an interactive pre-show warm-up before the main performance. The show itself will last for around 1 hour. Therefore, the 4:30pm show will finish at 5:30pm, and the 7:30pm show will finish at 8:30pm.

How will the audience be socially distanced in our seats?
We have been working hard to ensure that all audience members will be sat with social distancing measures in place. Each booking will be allocated a 3sqm “pod", which will be spaced accordingly. We ask that you do not move the chairs, stay within your pod and not visit other groups outside of yours.

Will seating be provided?

Seats will be available at the fort, but if you would prefer to bring your own folding camping-style chairs then you are more than welcome to do so!

What is the limit of people allowed in per performance?
We are limiting the audience capacity to 200 per show.

How will social distancing be enforced throughout the venue?
Signage will be present reminding people that social distancing is in place. Ushers and security will be present to ensure that this is maintained. There will be a queue line for entry into the fort to ensure large crowds will not form at the entrance.

Will my temperature be taken?
We will be conducting contactless temperature checks upon arrival at the venue. Your temperature will be logged against your booking name for track and trace purposes. If your temperature is above the recommended guidelines at the time, you may not be admitted to ensure the safety of our cast, crew and audience members.

Will there be an interval?
“Pirates of the Pavilion - Live at Nothe Fort” is a one hour performance without an interval. During the pre-show entertainment, you will be permitted to use the toilet facilities and purchase refreshments.

What hygiene measures will you be taking to ensure that we will be safe?
Hand sanitising stations will be placed throughout the venue and audience members will be regularly encouraged to wash their hands. Each seat will be sanitised between performances.

Do I have to wear a mask?
As with all aspects of this event, we will be following the relevant government guidelines at the time. At present, you are more than welcome to wear a mask if this would make you feel more comfortable, but this is not compulsory.

Will programmes and merchandise be available?
Of course! All merchandise will still be in their packaging and programmes will be available for purchase to remember this truly unique event!

What about refreshments?

Nothe Fort will be offering Pirate Picnic Boxes - these will be available to pre-book or to purchase on the night...the perfect supper for your little pirates! The picnic box will include half a sandwich (ham, cheese or chocolate spread), drink, apple, cup cake and pom-bears and will cost £4.00. Details on pre-booking the picnic boxes will be available soon!

There will also be hot and cold drinks available (including beer & cider for you older pirates!), as well as ice creams & popcorn!

What if the performance is cancelled?
We hope that Weymouth is going to give us a fantastic summer, however, if the performance is cancelled due to weather, we have our “Stormy Sea Guarantee" in place. This means if a performance is cancelled, you will be offered to transfer your booking to a later showing of "Pirates of the Pavilion - Live at Nothe Fort" free of charge. If this is not possible due to consistently bad weather or lack of availability, you will be offered a transfer to our Christmas production of Aladdin at the Weymouth Pavilion at no extra cost.

Can I buy my ticket on the door?
We would highly recommend that tickets are booked in advance. Due to the restricted capacity and limited number of performances, we anticipate that tickets will sell very quickly. Subject to availability, there may be tickets available to purchase on the door, but we cannot guarantee entry.

How can I book tickets?

Tickets are available via the Weymouth Pavilion website (www.weymouthpavilion.com). Unfortunately, due to limited staffing as a consequence of COVID-19, there is not a telephone booking option for this production at present.

My child is under-2, do they need a ticket?
If your under-2 will be sitting on the lap of an adult member of your group, and will not require their own seat, then you will not need to book a ticket for them.
Please note: You will be asked for proof of age for the child upon arrival at the venue. Failure to present this may result in you not being granted admission.

Who should I include in my booking?

You should book a ticket for each person in your household and each household should have their own booking. This will allow us to carry out the event in the safest possible way.

My friends have made a booking for the same day as me. Can we sit close to each other?

Seating areas will be allocated on arrival, so if you wish to sit next to a specific group, you should try to arrive and join the queue at the same time. Please note that seating allocation will be carried out on a first-come-first-served basis on the day, and that we cannot guarantee specific seating for the performance.

Is the event suitable for those in wheelchairs?

Absolutely! Our staff and volunteers will be on hand to make your experience as stress-free as possible. If you require a wheelchair space, please book a ticket as normal and speak to the ushers on arrival.

I already have tickets booked for "Pirates of the Pavilion - A Freezin' Adventure" - What do I do?
If you have already booked tickets for the original 2020 production, staff from Weymouth Pavilion will be in touch to arrange the transfer of your booking. If you are not able to attend the new dates, they will be able to discuss further options with you.

Do you have an update on your Christmas 2020 pantomimes?
At the moment we have no information regarding our Christmas pantomimes. We are continuing preparations and are regularly keeping up to date with the government guidelines. Please keep an eye on our social media pages to be kept up to date:
